Description
This building is a barn located approximately 10 metres to the west of Lake House, dating from the 17th century. It features a weatherboarded timber frame with a coursed rubble plinth and some walls at the rear, topped by a corrugated iron roof. The barn likely consists of five or six framed bays and is partly one storey and partly one storey with a loft.
On the west front, there is a large central boarded door and a small boarded door slightly off-centre to the left, along with a boarded loft door in the gable end facing north. Inside, the barn has tie-beam trusses with queen struts and a roof supported by two pairs of purlins. The bays are divided by high plinths, featuring sole-plates and long tension braces, and there is a later-inserted loft.
