Description
Little Hall Farmhouse is a late 18th or early 19th century farmhouse, though it may incorporate an earlier core. The house is constructed from a mix of coursed limestone and sandstone rubble, with the left gable-end slate-hung and the right gable-end rendered. It has a slate roof and two storeys, with a gable-lit attic. Brick end stacks are integral. The plan is three bays. Windows are 20th-century casements set within openings dating from around 1800, each with a stone flat arch. A triangular pedimental gable sits above the centre bay, featuring a lunette in the tympanum. The central entrance has a raised and fielded-panelled door with a five-part rectangular overlight. A lower, two-storey service wing is attached to the right, with a 20th-century lean-to on its left and a half-glazed door on its right. Inside the main block, the remains of a full cruck truss survive. The building possesses group value.
