Description
Weston Farmhouse is a late 16th century or 17th century building that has undergone alterations and additions in the mid-to-late 19th century. The structure is timber framed, with parts refaced and extended using coursed limestone rubble, and features slate hanging at the rear. It has a slate roof with a gabled cross-wing on the right and two gables at the rear. The building includes a basement, two storeys, and an attic. The right-hand cross-wing has a large external stone and brick stack, with a later truncated stone and brick stack at the rear, while the left side has an integral brick end stack and an external brick end stack at the rear. The timber framing consists of square and rectangular panels. The front has two windows, featuring mid-to-late 19th century two-light wooden casements, including a two-light casement in the right-hand gable. There is a central half-glazed door with a late 19th century gabled wooden porch. The timber frame is exposed on the north side, and the interior includes chamfered and stopped beams.
