Description
This is a cottage located at 4 Bicton, likely built in the late 17th century or early 18th century, with some alterations made in the late 20th century. The structure is timber framed and features 20th-century timber facing, with coursed limestone rubble end walls that are partly rendered. The roof is covered with 20th-century machine tiles, but there is evidence of former thatching visible at the projecting ledge at the base of the stack. The cottage probably consists of two or three framed bays and has an end lobby-entry plan. It is one storey high with an attic. There is a large stone end stack above the door to the left, and to the right, there are two 20th-century gabled eaves-dormers that contain three-light casements. The front has two windows, which are 20th-century two-light wooden casements, and there is a 20th-century half-glazed door located beneath the stack on the left.
