6/9 Bryndrinog Farmhouse - - II

Farmhouse. Early-to-mid C17. Timber framed on rubble plinth with wattle and daub inful panels and asbestos slate roof. Baffle entry plan of 2 framed bays with flush gabled cross wing to left. One storey and attic. Central brick ridge stack and raking eaves-dormer to right with 4-light casement. 2 and 3-light mid to late C19 casements, that on ground floor to left with transom and small panels. Boarded door beneath stack to right of gable. Square panel framing, 3 up to wall plate; truss in front gable with 4 struts to collar and V-struts in apex. Lean-tos on each side. Lower mid-C19 wing set back to left with rendered frame, coursed rubble end wall, slate roof and stack to rear. Cross wing projects to rear in stone, catslide lean-to beyond. Very picturesque setting by the River Clun.
