5/170 The Mill -

GV II Cottage. Probably early C18 with late C19 remodelling. Partly painted coursed limestone rubble, rendered at rear; slate roof. One storey and attic. Three C19 gabled semi-dormers with 4-pane sashes; integral stone end stack. 2-window front; C20 two-light casements; central half-glazed door and C20 gabled glazed porch with boarded door. Lean-to to left with stone slate roof. Interior: timber framed cross walls. C19 or C20 addition to front at left is not of special interest. This building was possibly formerly thatched (see weathering at base of stack and in wall above left-hand lean-to).
