Description
This barn, located to the north-west of Harton Farmhouse, dates from the 17th century. It features a weatherboarded square-panelled timber frame set on a stone rubble plinth, topped with a corrugated sheet roof. The barn has a rectangular plan consisting of three framed bays, with the gable end facing the street.
On the exterior, there are three boarded doors, three ground-level openings with glazing inserted, and three boarded loft openings. Inside, the barn has a single-purlin roof supported by two internal trusses made of a tie beam and twin raking struts, as well as an end truss consisting of a tie beam and twin vertical struts below the collar.
