Description
Green Farm is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with some alterations and additions. It features a combination of timber-frame and brick construction, along with stone rubble and render. The roof is steeply pitched and covered with plain tiles, with a brick stack at one end and another brick stack on the rear wing.
The exterior is single-storey with an attic. The entrance is located to the centre left and consists of a plank door with an overlight, which is sheltered by a simple stone flat hood supported by iron brackets. This entrance is flanked by 19th-century casement windows, including two-light and three-light designs. There are also two gable dormers that contain 20th-century two-light casements. To the left, there is a rubble lean-to, while a brick outshut is present on the right side. At the rear, there is a 19th-century roughcast wing.
Inside, the farmhouse retains exposed timber-framing, showcasing its historical construction methods.
