Description

Ticklerton Court is a house that underwent early 19th-century remodelling of an earlier 17th-century structure, with some 20th-century demolitions and alterations. It features ashlar stone on a coursed squared stone plinth and has a hipped slate roof with two slender brick stacks. The building has a rectangular plan and is currently two storeys high, reduced from three storeys in the mid-20th century.

The front elevation consists of a two-storey, three-window arrangement with 3/6 sash windows that have plain painted lintels and moulded keyblocks. The central bay is slightly recessed, and there is a doorcase with an open pediment and a semicircular fanlight with intersecting traceried bars. Flanking the door are projecting bay windows with tall 6/6 sashes and narrow sidelights, both topped with 20th-century hipped slate roofs. To the right, there is a single-storey wing that was formed from the former wider three-storey facade, now featuring double garage doors.

On the left side, there is a two-storey, two-window range of 6/6 sashes on the first storey above two ground-floor tripartite sashes arranged as 2/2:6/6:2/2. The right side has a single 3/6 sash with a flat painted keyed lintel, while the ground storey is covered by the projecting single-storey wing that incorporates two 3/3 sashes with flat painted keyed lintels. The interior has not been inspected.
