Description

Bramley Hall is a house built in the early 18th century, with a rear addition added around 1875 and alterations made in the mid-20th century. The building features ashlar and coursed squared stone, with some areas rendered, and has hipped and gabled roofs covered in plain tiles and slate. It has a single gable, four ridge stacks, and a single rear wall stack.

The exterior includes a plinth, quoins, a first-floor band, and moulded eaves. The house is two storeys tall and has a five by seven window arrangement. There are five plain sash windows, with the central window featuring a moulded surround and topped with a moulded pediment that has modillion details. The central entrance has a doorcase with an eared architrave, a cornice, and a broken segmental pediment, leading to a fielded six-panel door with a glazing bar overlight. On either side of the entrance, there are two two-light wooden cross casements with glazing bar toplights, all of which have painted surrounds.

On the left side facing the garden, there are four 12-pane sashes with stone surrounds to the right, and three segment-headed plain sashes to the left. Below these is a square stone bay window with three plain sashes, and to the right, a canted stone bay window featuring a French window and wooden cross casements. To the left, there is a stucco doorcase with a panelled door and overlight, flanked by two plain sashes.

The right side has a Venetian stair window on the left, followed by five sash windows, two of which have glazing bars. The ground floor features an off-centre door and to its right, a 18th-century three-light casement. Other windows on the building are from the late 19th and 20th centuries. The interior has not been inspected.
