Description

The Jeffcock Memorial water trough and drinking fountain, dated 1900, is located on Handsworth Road in Sheffield. It features a moulded grey granite trough set on a moulded pedestal, accompanied by round-topped guard stones. At the back, there are two small troughs with shouldered openings designed for dogs. The fountain itself is made of round pink granite with a grey granite plinth, adorned with a patterned band and topped with a domed finial. It includes a semicircular drinking bowl with an arched opening. An inscription on the fountain references members of the Jeffcock family, with dates of 1859, 1883, and 1900.
