Description

This drinking fountain, built in 1885, is located in Triangle Place, Teignmouth. It features a two-tier cylindrical design made of granite. Surrounding the central shaft are four polished granite columns, each topped with a bowl. The central shaft supports smaller shafts and bowls, culminating in a turned finial. The fountain includes two concentric basins, which are now used as ornamental flowerbeds, and has four semicircular-arched troughs for dogs to drink from. The fountain was a gift from Mr. J Wills of Oak Lodge, as noted in Kelly's Directory from 1902.
