Description

These are two early 19th-century houses located on the east side of Broad Street, Leominster. The ground floor is stuccoed, while the upper floors are brick. The roof is covered in Welsh slate, with brick stacks at the ridge and ends. The houses are arranged with a two-unit plan across three storeys and a cellar. The front elevation has a four-window arrangement. The windows are primarily 6/6 sash windows with keyed stucco lintels, supplemented by a few 3/3 sash windows. The central entrance to No. 42 features a half-glazed panelled door with a plain overlight, set within a leaded case, flanked by 6/6 sash windows. To the right of the entrance is a carriageway arch supported by timber. A storey band runs across the entire front facade. The interiors of the houses have not been inspected.
