Description

These are early 19th-century houses located on Church Street in Kington. The buildings are constructed of stucco with a Welsh slate roof, and feature two brick stacks at the front and rear, with a rubble buttress stack containing a brick chimney. The houses are three storeys high, with a cellar, and have a three-window front. The windows are mostly 6/6 sash windows, with some 3/6 sashes above. The entrances are located on the left and right sides of the building, each featuring a four-panel door with a margin-glazed overlight, set within a panelled case and protected by a moulded flat hood supported by brackets. A rusticated stucco band sits above the ground floor. A plank door provides access to the rear. The right-hand return side is built of brick, while the left-hand return side is of rubble.
