Description

Pinsley House is a house that has been converted into a guest house, dating from the early 18th century. It features painted brick construction and a hipped slate roof with a brick ridge stack. The building has three storeys and a cellar, with a three-window range on the front. The central window is a 6/6 sash with a cambered head, set under a stucco arch with a keystone. This is flanked by Venetian windows, each containing a central "Gothick" glazed sash in stucco cases with keyblocks. The central fixed light is accompanied by lunettes, all under brick arches with keyblocks. There is a moulded stone cornice at the eaves.

The central entrance consists of a 19th-century part-glazed panelled door with a trefoil overlight, situated in a moulded case beneath a moulded cambered hood supported by scrolled brackets. This entrance is flanked by Venetian windows. On the right side of the building, there is a 6/6 sash window and two blocked openings, all with moulded cases under stucco lintels with keyblocks. There are also a 3/3 sash window and additional blocked openings, along with a returned cornice and a mutilated 6/6 sash window on the ground floor. Some of the glass is old, and there is a stucco plinth.

Inside, the house features exposed posts, braces, and massive joists, along with cusped principal rafters. There is a "Gothick" headed blocked light and a mutilated winder stair.
