Description
No. 36 Broad Street is a house with a 19th-century front that features a false timber-framing design, while the core of the building dates back to the 18th century. It has an ashlar plinth, timber-frame and plaster construction, and a Welsh slate roof, with two brick stacks at the rear. The house is three storeys high and has a three-window range, which includes two late 19th-century 2/2 sash windows on the left in broad moulded cases, along with additional late 19th-century 2/2 sashes. The central entrance features a 19th-century four-moulded-panel door with a plain overlight, all under a moulded wooden flat hood with a fluted frieze supported by pilasters. To the left of the entrance are two 20th-century fixed lights in damaged moulded cases, and to the right is a late 19th-century 2/2 sash window and a four-moulded-panel door set in a wooden doorcase with a flat hood on pilasters. The interior has not been inspected.
