Description

These are two early 19th-century houses known as The Nook, situated on Grange Walk in Leominster. The houses are constructed of brick, with a Welsh slate roof and three banded brick stacks to the front, and two brick stacks to the rear. They are two storeys high and feature a four-window range. The windows are 8/8 sashes set within moulded cases, each with a grooved stucco lintel and keyblock. Brick modillion eaves run along the roofline. The entrances have panel detailing; No. 2 has a five-moulded-panel door, while No. 3 has a 20th-century glazed door. Both are set within panelled stucco reveals, sheltered by simple wooden hoods with stucco friezes and grooved pilasters, and flanked by further 8/8 sashes under grooved stucco lintels with keyblocks. The rear elevation is of painted brick and includes a rear wing with three 3/3 sashes, each under timber plates, alongside a blocked opening. The interiors of the houses have not been inspected.
