Description

The buildings at 6 and 8 School Lane in Leominster are late 17th-century shops and dwellings, with later additions. They are timber-framed and rendered, with a plain tile roof. The buildings are two storeys high, with an added storey to number 6. There is a three-window range; the right-hand window is an 8/8 sash window, and the other two windows are 6/6 sliding sash windows. The front has three altered shop fronts from the early 20th century, with entrances to the left, sheltered by a deep jetty with exposed soffits supported on brackets. The left-returned side features a timber-framed gable. The rear elevation is timber-framed and plastered, with a large gable and old plain tiles. The interiors were not inspected.
