Description
The Bell Inn is a house that has been converted into an inn, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of painted brick and features a 20th-century composite tile roof. The building has brick end stacks, with the left stack rendered, and additional stacks at the left and right rear. It stands three storeys tall and has a two-window range, with 8/8 sash windows in broad moulded cases beneath gauged brick flat arches, and 4/4 sash windows in broad moulded cases. The eaves are adorned with brick modillion.
The central entrance consists of double doors with six panels, set in a moulded frame and topped with a moulded wood flat hood supported by fluted brackets and pilasters. On either side of the entrance are early 20th-century mullion and transom lights featuring leaded glazing, all under rendered lintels. The right side of the building has a fixed light and a small metal casement, both set under segmental arches. The rear wing also has brick modillion eaves. The interior has not been inspected.
