Description

This barn, located about 15 yards north-north-west of Lower House, is likely from the 17th and 18th centuries with some later alterations. It features a sandstone rubble plinth and a weatherboarded timber frame topped with a corrugated iron roof. The barn has a rectangular four-bay layout that runs north to south. On the west side, there are two-leaved ledged doors from the mid-20th century positioned to the left of the center. The east side displays exposed woven infill in some of its panels. Inside, the barn has heavy square wall framing that extends two panels high from the cill to the wall plate, and the trusses are supported by triple angle struts.
