Description
Camelot is a house that likely dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of sandstone rubble with sandstone dressings and features a Welsh slate roof with sandstone rubble and brick stacks. The building has a rectangular three-bay plan that is aligned roughly north to south, and it stands two storeys tall with an attic.
The east elevation includes three windows, which are 3-light wooden casements from the late 18th or early 19th century, set under dressed voussoirs and projecting key stones. There are also two sandstone plat bands. A central lean-to porch, added in the mid-20th century, has an outer ledged door.
Inside, the house features an oak five-flight dog-leg newel stair, and the trusses have large collars with V-struts. The ground floor rooms are characterized by massive unchamfered ceiling beams.
