Cottage. Probably C18, with later alterations. Sandstone rubble and timber- frame partly clad in sandstone slabs. Thatched roof. Extruded sandstone rubble end stack with detached brick shaft. Rectangular plan, probably of two bays, aligned east/west. One storey and attic. South elevation has two ground floor windows, 2-light late C19 casements. Unfenestrated first floor with bolted sandstone slab cladding. Central ledged door with sandstone slab as canopy. Gable attic windows. Brick lean-to to rear. Rear wall has frame two square panels high above plinth. Rafters unsquared with consequent rustic appearance. Interior noted as having heavy chamfered ceiling beams with run- out chamfer stops. Baking oven.
