Description
Ivy Cottage is a cottage that likely dates from the 18th century. It features a plinth made of sandstone rubble and a timber frame with plaster infill. The roof is tiled, and there is an extruded sandstone rubble end stack with a brick shaft. The building has two bays aligned in a north-west to south-east direction and stands two storeys tall. The south-west elevation includes two mid-19th century casement windows with two lights each. To the right of the centre, there is a ledged door beneath a gabled canopy. The south-east gable has a sandstone skin, and the frame consists of four rectangular panels high from the plinth to the wall-plate. Inside, there is a mid-19th century cast iron range.
