Description

Upper House is a farmhouse, likely dating from the early 19th century, though with possible earlier origins. The building is constructed of timber framing, sandstone rubble, and largely rebuilt brick. It has a Welsh slate roof and sandstone and brick stacks. The rectangular plan is aligned north/south, with the main, east-facing elevation featuring four windows, which are glazing bar sashes. A central six-panelled door is set within a lattice porch with a concave, lead hipped roof. A doorway to the cellar is situated on the left-hand side, built with rubble and featuring a segmental brick arch. Inside, the west wall exhibits square wall framing. The building is listed for its group value.
