Description
Karsland House and Stores Cottage is a house that likely dates from the early 18th century. It is timber-framed with painted brick infill and some areas of refacing, topped with a tiled roof. The building consists of four framed bays arranged east to west and faces north, featuring an east gable-end stack and the entrance located to the left of the center. It is a single storey with an attic, which includes one dormer with a two-light casement window and a further gabled dormer to the right with a similar window. The ground floor has irregular fenestration, with two-light casement windows to the left, two smaller windows, and two more 20th-century windows with transom lights to the right of a 20th-century ledged door. The framing appears to be fairly complete, with three square panels forming the sill to the wall-plate. The building is included for its group value.
