Description
The Steppes is a house dating from the 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It features a timber-framed structure with painted brick infill and a sandstone plinth, topped by a tiled roof. The building consists of two framed bays that are aligned east to west, with the north front facing the road and the entrance located on the south side. There is a stack on the west gable end. The house is a single storey with an attic, and the north front includes two 2-light casement windows and one single-light casement window, along with two gabled dormers on the south front. The framing displays three square panels from the sill to the wall-plate, which appears to be fairly complete.
