Description

Dufose House is a house that possibly dates back to the 17th century, with additions made in the mid-19th century and further alterations in the 20th century. It features a timber frame with painted brick infill, a sandstone plinth, and a tiled roof. The house consists of two framed bays that are aligned north to south, with additional structures to the north and west, and a north axial stack. It has two storeys. The east front includes two 2-light casement windows, a recessed doorway, and another 2-light casement window under a cambered head, which is part of a later addition that has a lower roof line to the right. The framing is fairly complete, showcasing four square panels from the sill to the wall-plate, along with V-struts in the gable.
