Description

The Lawns is a house built in the early 19th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of brick with a sandstone plinth and features a hipped slate roof. The house has a single depth plan and faces south, with a central entrance and end stacks. There are later additions at the rear and a lean-to on the west side. The building stands three storeys high and has two string courses and plain pilasters at the corners. It includes five glazing bar sash windows with cambered heads on the lower two floors. The entrance is framed by an open pediment and has a decorative semi-circular fanlight above a six-panelled door.
