House about 10 yards south-west of New House

Smithy. C18 or earlier, altered mid- to late C19. Timber-framed with painted brick, boarded and rendered infill on tall rubble base; corrugated metal roof. Two framed bays aligned north-east/south-west. Two storeys. Framing: two panels from sill to wall-plate; collar and tie-beam trusses with struts at gable ends. South-east front elevation: there are two shuttered square windows on the ground floor, two first floor 2-light casements and a ledged and battened door in the south-west bay. Lean-to timber outshut with double doors adjoins north-east end.
