Description
This granary, located approximately 20 metres north of Moorend Farmhouse, is likely from the 17th century with some additions from the mid-19th century. It features a timber frame with a sandstone plinth and brick infill, and the west gable end has been refaced in brick. The roof is tiled. The structure consists of two framed bays that run east to west, with an additional two bays that have a lower roof line to the east, and a lean-to at the rear. It is two storeys high, with a central ledged door on the left side and steps leading up to a west gable entry that also has a ledged door. The framing is mostly intact, showing three square panels from the sill to the wall-plate on the left lower section and four square panels on the right. The interior was inaccessible during the last survey. This building is included for its group value.
