Description

This granary, located approximately 15 metres south-east of Hill Farmhouse, dates from the 18th century and was altered in the 20th century. It is constructed with a timber frame, featuring brick infill and part weatherboarding on the north side, along with a sandstone plinth and a tiled roof. The structure consists of five framed bays that are aligned north to south and face east. It is two storeys high and has three doorways at irregular intervals, along with a double doorway at the northern end. The granary has dropped tie-beam trusses with swept bracing to the collar. The framing is irregular, with four square panels extending from the sill to the wall-plate.
