Description
Catley Court Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1600, with a 18th-century wing added to the rear and alterations made in the 20th century. The building is timber-framed with painted brick infill, a sandstone plinth and stack, and a sandstone rubble addition from the 18th century, all topped with tiled roofs. It features four framed bays arranged in a southwest to northeast alignment, facing southeast. There is a northwest wing and a lean-to that creates a catslide roof at the rear. The entrance is located in the right end bay of the southeast front, with a large central axial stack. The farmhouse has two storeys and three windows, which include cross casements with leaded glazing and solid oak frames flanking a later two-light window on the ground floor. To the left of the central forward projecting later bay window, which has a hipped roof, is a similar altered cross-casement. The doorway to the right has a plain ledged door with an overlight above.
