Description

Briarcroft Cottage is a house dating from the 18th century. It is timber-framed with painted brick infill and features a brick stack and a later addition, all covered by a slate roof. The building consists of two framed bays aligned east to west and faces south. There is a central entrance with an open lean-to porch and a ledged door. The east gable end has a stack, and the later addition to the west is a single storey with an attic. The cottage has two gabled dormers that contain 2-light glazing bar casement windows, and similar windows are positioned on either side of the doorway. The framing is largely complete, with three square panels extending from the sill to the wall-plate.
