Description
Briar Cottage and Myrtles is a house pair that dates back to the 16th century but was clad in the early 19th century. The building is timber framed and features painted brick on the ground floor, with tile hanging on the first floor. It has moulded eaves beneath a plain tiled roof, which includes tall brick ridge stacks at both ends. The front has a continuous jetty that is now boxed in. The structure is two storeys high and has an irregular arrangement of five windows on the first floor, all of which are tripartite sashes except for the second window from the left. On the ground floor, there are four bays with boarded doors situated between the panes on each side, with the left bay (Myrtles) featuring an arched head.
