Description
High House is a house dating from around 1725. It is constructed of red brick with orange dressings and features a brick-capped parapet above a half-hipped plain tiled roof, which has a large stack at the rear. The building is three storeys tall and has a regular two-window front, with glazing bar sashes that have keystones above; the keystones over the ground and first-floor windows project. There are cornice aprons with egg and dart mouldings above the second-floor windows, and a segment-headed window on the ground floor. The entrance is located to the left on the ground floor and is framed by a fluted Doric pilaster surround, topped with a cornice hood and a triglyph frieze. The entrance features a six-panelled door that is accessed by three steps.
