Description
Gospel Yew Cottage is a house that possibly dates from the early 18th century and was altered in the 20th century. It features a timber-framed structure with painted brick infill, a sandstone plinth, and a stack with a detached brick shaft, topped by a tiled roof from the 20th century. The house has three framed bays that are aligned north-west to south-east and face south-west, with a later addition at the rear and on the north-west gable end. The present doorway is located in the south-east end bay. The cottage is two storeys tall and has irregular fenestration, including three windows: a 2-light casement and 20th-century horizontally sliding windows, along with 2- and 3-light windows on the ground floor. A gabled canopy is positioned above the doorway, which features a plain ledged door.
