Description
Park View Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It features a timber-framed structure, with parts made of painted brick and rendered infill, a sandstone plinth, and an external stack with a brick shaft. The roof is covered with slate. The building has four framed bays that are aligned from north-east to south-west, with the entrance located on the north-west front. There is a stack on the north-east gable end and additional extensions to the south.
The cottage is a single storey with an attic, featuring two gabled dormers on the left side, each with 2-light 20th-century casement windows. To the right, there are three windows, and to the left of a 20th-century lean-to porch, there is one more window. The porch has a half-glazed door, and there are double ledged doors located at the far right. The framing of the cottage appears to be largely intact, with three square panels visible from the sill to the wall-plate.
