Description

Swallow Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It has a timber-frame structure with painted brick infill and a tiled roof. The cottage features three framed bays that are aligned north to south, and it has a large exterior stack with a detached brick chimney on the south gable. The building is one storey high with an attic, which is lit by three gabled dormers. There are four windows fitted with 20th-century metal casements, and the entrance is roughly central, featuring a 20th-century plank door. The framing consists of three square panels high, and on the south gable, there are queen struts supporting the collar and V-struts in the apex.
