Description
Rhystone Cottage is a house that likely dates from the 18th century and has been altered and extended in the 20th century. It features a timber frame with painted brick infill, a sandstone plinth, and a brick stack. The roof is covered with slate. The cottage has two framed bays that are aligned north to south and face west, with a south gable end stack and an entrance located to the right of the center. It is two storeys high and has two 2-light 20th-century windows. There is a gabled porch that includes a 20th-century panelled door. The framing of the cottage is mostly intact, although it has been altered and the roof has been raised. The structure includes three square panels from the sill to the wall plate, with irregular bracing from the lower rail of the top panel to the main post.
