Description
The Prospect is a house located in Lugwardine, dating from the 17th century, with an adjoining house from the mid-19th century and 20th-century additions. The earlier house is timber-framed with painted brick infill, while the later house is constructed of brick and features a concrete tiled roof from the 20th century. The structure consists of two framed bays aligned east to west, with the later house attached to the west. The entrance is located in the 19th-century house, which has end stacks. The 17th-century section is a single storey with an attic, featuring two dormers that have 2-light casement windows. The ground floor also has similar 2-light casements, and the adjoining house to the left includes two glazing bar sash windows and a porch with an inner panelled door. The timber framing of the earlier house is fairly complete, originally consisting of three square panels from the sill to the wall-plate, with V-struts in the gable.
