Description
Swilgrove Cottage is a house that likely dates from the 18th century, with alterations and additions made in the 20th century. It features a timber frame with painted brick infill and has a tiled roof added in the 20th century. The cottage consists of two framed bays that are aligned east to west, with additional structures added to the east and north. The entrance is now located in the 20th-century addition. The west gable end has a stack with a bread oven. The building is a single storey with an attic, which includes two gabled dormers that have 20th-century leaded 2-light casement windows. To the right of the 20th-century door, there are two similar windows. The framing of the cottage appears to be largely intact, with three square panels visible from the sill to the wall-plate.
