Description

Woodend Cottage is a house likely dating from the 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is timber-framed with rendered and partly painted brick infill, and has a roof that is partly thatched and partly slate. The original structure was a single bay, with two additional bays added to the south. A 20th-century lean-to porch encloses the north gable end stack. The cottage is single-storey with an attic, and two storeys in the added southern bays. A 2-light casement window is located to the left of the 20th-century door within the lean-to. The timber framing features light scantling with three and four square panels extending from sill to wall-plate.
