Description
This is a late 18th-century and early 19th-century house, later extended in the late 19th century, and now divided into three separate dwellings. The building is constructed of brick with hipped slate roofs. The house has an irregular plan, comprising a main east/west aligned range (Wilcroft), with wings extending to the east (Wilcroft East) and west (Wilcroft West). A former central entrance and stairwell connects these elements. End and axial chimney stacks are present. The south front features rusticated quoins and a semi-circular blind arch to a single bay. It has 2:1:3 glazing bar sash windows. A forward-projecting Tuscan porch provides access, featuring a panelled door and an inner elliptical-headed archway, leading to a doorway with a half-glazed door. The interior retains a contemporary staircase and original stuccoed ceiling decoration.
