The Swallows is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the late 19th century. It features a timber-framed structure with painted brick infill, a sandstone plinth, and stacks, topped with a slate roof. The building is composed of two framed bays that are aligned east to west and face south. It has a central entrance and end stacks, with a bread oven located to the east. The house is two storeys high and includes two 2-light casement windows, as well as a gabled porch with a ledged door.
