Description

BARTESTREE CP POMONA LANE SO 54 SE 2/8 The Old Rectory II House. C17 with mid-C19 alterations and further C20 alterations and extension. Timber-framed with part painted brick and part rendered infill, sandstone plinth and stacks with detached brick shafts, brick refacing to south front and brick later additions. C20 concrete tiled roof. L-plan with wing aligned east/west facing south, adjoining wing aligned north/south at west end, entrance central to south front, south gable-end stack to north/south wing, further lateral stack to rear of east/west wing, further additions to east. Single storey and attic with single-storey later extension to east; south front, gable-end of wing to left with irregular-shaped casement window in gable to left of stack and 3-light casement window to right on ground floor. Two gabled half-dormers with 2-light casement windows to right, two 3-light windows with segmental heads to right of canopied porch with part-glazed door, further window in single-storey extension to right. Framing revealed in north/south wing appears largely complete with two square panels from sill to wall-plate. (Formerly known as Pomona Corner Cottage).
