It is timber-framed with a brick facing to the south front, brick infill, a sandstone plinth, and stacks. The roof is thatched. The two-bay house is aligned east/west, facing south, with a stack at the east gable end. A central entrance is present. The cottage is single-storey with an attic. There are two eyebrow dormers containing 2-light casement windows. Three 20th-century casement windows are located alongside the entrance, which has a gabled canopy above a 20th-century door.
