Description
Park Place is an early 19th century house that has been altered in the late 19th and 20th centuries. It features brickwork with roughcast render and a slate roof. The building has a square plan, oriented east, and includes three internal chimney stacks. There is a single-storey wing to the north of the east corner, with lean-to extensions at the northeast corner and in the northwest angle. A 20th-century conservatory is located to the west. The roof is fully hipped with a low pitch.
On the south elevation, which faces the road, there is a four-window range of early 19th century double-hung sash windows with 16 lights. The east elevation, which serves as the entrance, has a half-glazed door beneath a flat-roofed porch supported by two complete and two engaged fluted Ionic columns made of wood on stone plinths. The architrave features a Greek key design. This elevation is asymmetrical and includes one late 19th century bay window with double-hung sashes, another late 19th century double-hung sash window, and one more window above the door. In the north wing, there is a blocked doorcase adorned with fluted pilasters, an architrave with triglyphs and rosettes, and a shallow hood.
