Description
Forest Cottages is a pair of cottages from the 17th or 18th century that have been converted into one house. The building features a timber frame with weatherboarding on the west elevation and plaster on the other sides. It has a roof made of handmade red clay tiles and is oriented approximately north-south. There is an internal chimney stack at each end of the house, with the main aspect facing west. Lean-to extensions are present on the east and south sides. The structure is two storeys high and includes two tiled gabled porches. The windows are a three-window range of 20th-century wooden casements. The roof is half-hipped at the north end and hipped at the south end, extending over the lean-to to create a catslide.
