Description

Ashdown Cottage is a pair of cottages that originated as a house in the 17th century and was altered in the 18th century. The building features a timber frame that is clad with painted brick and tile hanging, topped with a plain tiled roof. It stands two storeys high with a hipped roof and a central chimney stack. The front has a regular arrangement of windows, consisting of two tripartite wooden casements on each floor, and there are boarded doors on both the left and right sides. Additionally, there is a two-storey hipped extension from the 20th century that is recessed on the right return.
