Orchard Cottage is a 17th-century house that features a timber frame clad with painted brick and tile hanging, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building has a two-cell lobby entry plan and stands two storeys high with a hipped roof and a central chimney stack. On each floor, there are two wooden casement windows and a central boarded door. At the rear, there is a catslide outshot and hipped wings.
